Additional Training

We encourage our volunteers to look for training opportunities in a variety of venues.  You are free to take courses from other community organizations that relate to your work as a troop leader to satisfy the training requirement on the Troop Leader Agreement.  Such courses might include:  nature studies, group conduct, characteristics of girls, ceremonies, flag etiquette or enhancing diversity.  Courses offered at GSUSA’s Edith Macy Conference Center in New York would also certainly apply.  This is not a complete list of the possibilities.  Some of these classes may also fulfill some requirements for the First Aider and Troop Camper certifications.  If you have a question about a course you are considering, contact the Adult Education Dept. for more information.

If you are interested in attending additional trainings, consider the following organizations.
