Make It Count in 2010
In October all troops will have the opportunity to earn money for their troop treasuries by participating in our 2010 Fall Product Sale activities. Through our continued partnership with Trophy Nut Company, a GSUSA licensed vendor, girls can take orders from family and friends for a selection of Trophy Nut products, including nuts, candy, collectible tins and magazine vouchers. This year we also have a new online magazine ordering program.
This fun activity will teach your girls about teamwork, communications and money management, and will help them set and achieve their program goals for the coming year. Active participation will provide funds for your troop activities, and helps to underwrite the costs of all Council campsites, facilities and programs, making them affordable for your troop.
Be sure your troop is registered - be an Early Bird or On-Time Troop - so you can participate in this great program activity and money-earning opportunity. New troops can start at any time during the sale!

The Fall Product Sale Time Line, with the Troop Fall Product Sale Manager Position Description on the back, was provided in the May leader materials, and is also included in the September leader takeouts. The position description is helpful in selecting the right person for your troop. Your Troop Sale Manager is critical to having a successful sale. She (or he) is responsible for training the girls, organizing all the paperwork, using the computer ordering system, and handling all the money. Troop leaders should give new volunteers a Volunteer Application (form #230F) to complete, along with the background check release form (#231F), and a membership registration form (if not already a member). Your can get these forms from your Service Unit Manager or in the Girl Scout Store.
If you have any questions call your Service Unit Fall Product Sale Coordinator, or contact Kathy Brandon, Director of Product Sale Programs, kbrandon@gseok.org, 918-745-5224 or 800-707-9914, ext. 224.
