Beyond the Meeting
Pre-requisite: Beginning Troop Leadership and Program Level Training
Course Description: Designed for leaders of all age levels, this course prepares a leader to begin taking her girls on field trips and overnights. This course will teach you how to plan, carry out and evaluate activities with girls outside of the regular troop meetings.
This course is required for leaders who have taken Beginning Troop Leadership since August 1, 2005, prior to taking field trips or conducting an overnight with their girls. Completion of this course authorizes a leader to conduct field trips and overnights at indoor locked facilities that require no outdoor skills or fires. These sites include Eaton Lodge, the Muskogee Office, the Stillwater Lodge, the Tulsa Service Center, the Troop House in Tulsa, a church or meeting space and the leader’s living room.
Course includes:
Council procedures and safety
Progression of activities
Community Service Projects
Planning, conducting and financing troop trips
Fee: None.

Planning a Trip
Pre-requisite: Beginning Troop Leadership, Program Level Training and Beyond the Meeting
Course Description: Required for any troop planning an extended troop trip. Leaders experienced in troop travel in the US and overseas designed this course so that everyone benefits from their experiences.
Course includes:
- Goal Setting
- Budgeting and money earning activities
- Safety-Wise and Council guidelines for troop trips
